Loyiso Lindani is a mother, faith-driven leader and founder of the Loyiso Lindani Foundation NPO, which is committed to creating safe spaces for women, adolescent girls and children experiencing homelessness, violence, abandonment, and different forms of trauma to help them heal, grow and thrive. Loyiso is a writer, journalist, published author, creative artist, feminist and speaker based in the Eastern Cape.
She is actively engaged in community advocacy through platforms such as the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Women’s Caucus, focusing on empowering women to break cycles of trauma and poverty. She is passionate about supporting single mothers and women in vulnerable situations. Loyiso’s journey is rooted in her lived experiences of overcoming these challenges, which now fuel her commitment to uplifting others. Being selected as a Mamandla Fellow is both an honour and a great opportunity for her to learn from others, gain mentorship and acquire the skills needed to grow her advocacy and build her NGO from the ground up, while amplifying the voices of mothers to advance a pro-motherhood agenda in South Africa.
