The Embrace Network was built on a simple but powerful belief: when we work together, we can do more for mothers and their children across South Africa. The Embrace Network began because our conversations with mothers identified a gap. Women and mother-led organisations around the country were doing amazing things for their communities, but they were often working in silos. There was a need to build a trusted community where ideas could be shared, problems voiced and solutions strengthened by connecting with like-minded partners. We partner with non-profit organisations, CBOs, health practitioners, advocates, researchers and individuals who share our commitment to mothers and children. We facilitate node convenings, provide open-source toolkits and resources, amplify partner voices, elevate partners work, and connect the network to policy and advocacy The Embrace Network is open to all individuals and organisations whose work intersects with the lives of mothers.
