Ayanda Mthethwa

First and foremost, I am a mother of three children with a passion for helping others overcome challenges.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, which fuels my love for connecting with people and empowering them through effective communication. My journey as a mentor began when I reflected on my own experiences as a teenage mom and how I overcame numerous obstacles and moments of doubt. Now, I am determined to inspire and guide other young moms facing similar struggles. My approach is to focus on empowerment and building self-confidence and to help young mothers identify their strengths and talents, encouraging them to pursue education, set goals, and develop strategies for success.

I believe that no situation is insurmountable and I am passionate about equipping young moms with the tools and mindset to overcome challenges. I also want to emphasize the importance of balance and self-care, reminding these young women that they deserve personal fulfillment alongside their responsibilities as mothers.

Through the Mamandla fellowship, I aim to create a community of support where teen moms can share their experiences, uplift one another, and realize their potential. Together, they can conquer any obstacle and embrace a future filled with hope and endless possibilities.
