I am a qualified medical doctor with training in and a deep interest in social science, psychology and clinical research.
I am currently participating in two clinical research projects related to HIV. I am also committed to earlier work I have started with a special group of foster carers.
I am a critical and original thinker looking to find and test innovative solutions to overcome the most pertinent social issues with a specific interest in the impact of ECD, addressing the treatment gap and the sequelae of trauma with a particular focus on low to middle-income settings.
I am particularly interested in exploring how childhood trauma and adversity impact long-term health, well-being and life outcomes. I am convinced that early attachments (ie the role that mostly mothers play) have a long-lasting impact on childhood development.
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others and learning from them.
