Rowlene Jantjes

I am a mother that has faced uncertainty, challenges and grief.

I am a single mother that has experienced the feeling of being out at sea because of my lack of knowledge and the silence that pervades many of the most intimate, frightening times of what has been the most beautiful, overwhelming and rewarding journey that I have undertaken.

While the support available to me has been amazing, as I have progressed on this journey, I have noticed how lonely and disempowering it can be. Frequently, the gritty, unpretty side of motherhood is overlooked. I want women to know that they have the right to question at every stage of motherhood, that they have a voice and that it deserves to be heard.

The less isolated we feel, the more we can harness strength in unity and empowering each other.
