Vuyiswa Kumalo

I am a medical doctor currently training as a specialist physician in Public Health Medicine. Having exposure to the inner workings of multiple district health systems within Gauteng, I developed an interest in early maternal health and its measurable outcomes. I am driven by a desire to effect change and aiming to improve the health status of the country, and am excited to commence this Fellowship.

As a new Mamandla Fellow, I am eager to collaborate with mothers and fellow mother–supporters through a belief in the transformative strength of collective actions for societal change.

I am looking forward to gaining knowledge and developing key skills through this fellowship. My goal is to contribute to our shared cause, which I believe is crucial towards creating a more supportive and empowering environment for mothers and their communities.
