I am Jolene a 37 year old mom of one. I am from Cape town and have been a midwife in a private hospital for close to 10 years. I recently resigned to focus on my own path and purpose. In my time in the maternity ward I’ve experienced many different women from different backgrounds, but realised how similar our fears and challenges as women and mother’s may be.
It is one of my goals to ensure that all women get to experience the pregnancy and birth they desire and deserve. And I am so excited about this journey with the Mamandla fellowship as it is directly aligned to what I wish to achieve.
I am recently engaged and so excited about our nuptials in September.
