I am a seasoned Project Manager and Communications Specialist working in human rights. I am most passionate about environmental rights and the rights of women and children, and enjoy putting together advocacy projects that translate complex legislation into palatable information to spark active citizenship and better the lives of women and children.
Some of my professional achievements include being part of the award-winning team that pioneered the Google-powered Digify Bytes project which trained 1 million young people in digital marketing in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria, and managing a solar-powered 12-site project based in Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia & South Africa, using film to raise awareness about complex issues such as climate change, gender and public participation.
Through this work I was selected as a Berlinale Fellow for the 2020 Berlin Film Festival. I also worked on the campaign for the groundbreaking Deadly Air court case, in which the residents of Mpumalanga took the government to court for the air pollution in the province and won.
