I have worked with caregivers for almost 10 years. I am excited about being Mamandla Fellow because I will join hands with other women supporting mothers across the country.
I have worked with caregivers for almost 10 years. I am excited about being Mamandla Fellow because I will join hands with other women supporting mothers across the country.
Being a Mamandla Fellow really means a lot to me because I’m very passionate about supporting mothers and advocating for motherhood issues.
Working in the public sector for most of my career, I made every effort to offer women in public hospital respectful care that aimed empower them to have individualised and self influenced birth choices, buying a birth stool for women to explore alternative birthing positions is one of the many things I did to improve birth experience in a public Hospital.
I’m passionate about birthing experiences (with stories of my own both good and bad), and how mothers are (or are not) accommodated in the workplace.
Being a Mamandla Fellow means that I can work with other individuals who want to support mothers and together we can reshape the world and make it more accommodative for mothers.
